Bhubaneswar, Oct. 31 -- What was meant to be a joyful unboxing turned into a nightmare for Premanand, a Bengaluru-based software engineer, who lost Rs 1.86 lakh in an alleged Amazon delivery scam. The Yelachenahalli resident had ordered a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphone on October 14, paying the full amount using his HDFC credit card.
When the parcel arrived on October 19 at 4:16 pm, Premanand, cautious about online frauds, decided to record the unboxing. To his horror, the sealed box contained not a smartphone but a plain white tile neatly packed inside.
