Bhubaneswar, Oct. 14 -- Following the alleged gang-rape of the second-year medical student from Odisha near a private medical college in Durgapur in Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal, the victim's father on Tuesday stated that his daughter will not continue with her studies in West Bengal.

The victim's father also said that a better investigation could be conducted if the case is handed over to the CBI.

"My daughter is stable. Doctors have not spoken with me directly, but her condition has improved. My daughter will not continue with her studies here (in West Bengal).
