In a shocking incident, an eight-year-old girl was killed while her mother and brother were left battling for their lives after allegedly being hit by an overspeeding SUV (Mahindra Thar) in Bhubaneswar.
The vehicle reportedly fled the spot after the mishap.
The tragic road accident happened near Patrapada V2 when the young children were returning home with their mother, from their uncle's house, after tying Rakhi.
According to reports, the family was crossing the road when the Thar hit them. The girl died on the spot, while the injured mother and son were rushed to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for treatment.
