'Hanuman coin' and Rs 2.70 crore dispute: New twist in Bolangir businessman kidnapping case
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- A new development emerged in the alleged kidnapping of Bolangir businessman Narendra Sahu on Sunday. Police are now reportedly probing a dispute linked to an alleged transaction involving a 'Hanuman coin'.
The development came after police found discrepancies in the statements given by Narendra and prime accused Khitish Sahu. Bolangir Police questioned the two face-to-face today to establish the circumstances behind the incident.
During the questioning, police reportedly found clues pointing to a financial dispute between Narendra and Khitish.
According to the information available, Narendra had allegedly taken Rs 2.70 crore from Khitish four years ago and did not return the money.
