'Go back': NHAI faces public outrage in Odisha over delayed road work after fatal crash
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 9 -- A protest was staged at Rairakhol town in Sambalpur district of Odisha against the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) over the alleged delay in completing a six-kilometre stretch of road.
Agitated locals reportedly raised "Go Back" slogans against NHAI officials who reached the spot following a fatal road accident.
The road work, which reportedly began in 2017, is yet to be completed. Locals alleged that the prolonged delay has affected commuters and contributed to frequent accidents on the stretch.
