China Eastern Airlines flew fewer passengers in June than a year ago

Hong Kong, July 17 -- China Eastern Airlines (CEA) carried over 11 million passengers in June, down 8.13% from the same period a year ago. Read More The demand (RPK) decreased by 3.36% year-on-year. The capacity (ASK) decreased by 3.89%. Passenger load factor was 86.61%, representing an increase of 0.47 percentage points year-on-year. In June 2026, the CEA introduced nine aircraft, including seven A320 series, one B787 series and one C919, and retired three A320 series aircraft, bringing the total fleet to 833 aircraft.
