Guwahati, Oct. 20 -- Demonstrators detained during a human chain action near the Assam Secretariat in Dispur maintained their protest from inside the 10th Assam Police Battalion campus at Kahilipara on Tuesday, urging state authorities to challenge recent bail orders granted in the Zubeen Garg death investigation.

The protesters chanted slogans inside the detention facility and submitted a petition to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, urging the government to appeal to the Supreme Court against the Gauhati High Court's decision to grant bail to prime accused Amritprabha Mahanta and Sandipan Garg.
