Guwahati: The high-profile case concerning the death of Assamese music legend Zubeen Garg is poised to enter a significant stage, with the Special Fast-Track Court scheduled to begin recording witness testimonies from June 8.

As part of the trial proceedings, the court has summoned four witnesses to record their statements on the first day. The witness examination is expected to continue until June 20, with four witnesses likely to be examined each day.

The case relates to the death of Zubeen Garg in Singapore on September 19, 2025. Following an investigation, the matter was treated as an alleged case of murder and criminal conspiracy, leading to a wider probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
