Aizawl: Veteran journalist and Champhai District Mizoram Journalists' Association (MJA) President Lalhlupuia passed away on Friday after battling cancer. He was 65.

According to family sources, Lalhlupuia breathed his last at around 7:30 am at his residence in Champhai.

Widely respected in Mizoram's media fraternity, Lalhlupuia was the editor of a local vernacular daily, "Lenrual," and also served as a correspondent for All India Radio (AIR), Aizawl, from Champhai.

Known for his dedication to journalism and public service, he played an active role in strengthening media outreach and community engagement in Champhai district.
