North Lakhimpur, Aug. 28 -- Two migrant workers from Assam's Lakhimpur district have been accused of killing a fellow Assamese worker in Telangana over a monetary dispute.

The accused, Bitopan Das and Kusheswar Das of Duarpar village under Panigaon police station, allegedly attacked Ghanshyam Borah of Rajabari in Gohpur, Biswanath district, during an altercation on August 15.

According to the victim's family, Ghanshyam had a dispute with Kusheswar over the repayment of a debt that night. During the altercation, Bitopan allegedly attacked Ghanshyam with a sharp object, critically injuring him.
