Agartala: An Indian Forest Service officer facing investigation in connection with a high-profile cash seizure case has gone missing from a forest guest house in Agartala, prompting Tripura Police to launch a search operation.

The officer, Gaurav Ravindra Wagh, was under the scanner of the Crime Branch following the recovery of a substantial amount of cash from a vehicle reportedly linked to him near Agartala Railway Station earlier this month.

The seizure triggered a formal inquiry into possible financial irregularities and misuse of his official position.
