Guwahati: The Tripura government has cancelled the planned 26-day summer vacation for all government colleges, including technical and professional institutions, to maintain uninterrupted academic and administrative work.

As per an official notification issued on Friday by Higher Education Director Animesh Debbarma, the break that was scheduled to start from May 26 will no longer be observed, keeping student interests in mind.

The order states that colleges under the Higher Education Department will continue functioning during this period to support ongoing academic activities such as admissions for the 2026-27 session, semester examinations, and routine administrative work.
