India, Feb. 13 -- The Tripura Cabinet on Thursday approved proposals to create and fill 555 posts across multiple departments. It also cleared the establishment of new Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy medical colleges, Cabinet spokesman Sushanta Chowdhury said on Friday.
Chief Minister Manik Saha chaired the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Chowdhury said.
The Cabinet approved the setting up of an Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital at Tepania in Tripura. The college will have an intake capacity of 60 students. It will start from the 2026-27 academic session. Until permanent infrastructure is ready, a temporary campus will function from Chandrapur in the same district.
