Agartala, July 28 -- Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma on Tuesday announced the formation of a reforms committee for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), asserting that no illegal appointments would be allowed and calling for the resumption of talks on the proposed Tiprasa Accord with the Centre.

Addressing supporters through a social media livestream after a prolonged absence from day-to-day political activities due to his own health issues and those of his mother, Debbarma said the council would adopt new procedures to ensure transparency in recruitment.
