Tripura: Government pre-primary schools record 24% rise in enrollment

Agartala: Tripura has registered a 24 per cent rise in enrollment in government pre-primary schools this academic year compared to the previous year, officials from the Education Department said on Friday.
The update was shared during the closing session of a five-day teacher training workshop organised by the Directorate of Elementary Education in West Tripura district.
The training programme, which began on May 12, included 100 teachers from 94 newly opened pre-primary schools introduced in the 2026-27 academic session. It focused on play-based learning methods and classroom practices for early childhood education.
