Guwahati: The Tripura government has introduced a five-day work week for its employees, declaring all Saturdays as holidays and revising office timings across state government departments. The move, announced through a notification issued by the General Administration Department, is aimed at improving employee welfare while ensuring uninterrupted delivery of public services.

Under the new arrangement, government departments will remain open from Monday to Friday, with working hours fixed from 9 am to 5 pm. As a result, Saturdays will now be observed as weekly holidays across state government establishments.
