India, Feb. 16 -- In a major anti-drug operation, Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized around 4.5 lakh Yaba tablets, valued at approximately Rs 45 crore, in Tripura's Khowai district, officials said on Monday.
The contraband was recovered from a Tata truck (registration AS-01T-C7674) at General Area Mungiakami.
One person, identified as Hafijul Haque, a resident of Udalguri in Assam, was apprehended in connection with the seizure. He has been handed over to the DRI for further investigation.
Authorities said additional details are awaited.
