Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma and BJP North East Coordinator Sambit Patra met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday amid discussions over a possible electoral understanding between the BJP and Tipra Motha ahead of the Village Committee elections, according to sources.

The meeting, held at Shah's residence, lasted around 90 minutes, sources said.

According to sources, Shah assured the Tipra Motha leadership that the Tripartite Accord would be implemented in two phases and that land rights would be granted within September in accordance with the provisions of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
