Guwahati, Aug. 28 -- Assamese documentary cinema has secured a notable presence at the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) 2026, with three films, Shimmering Odyssey, Dreams of a Forgotten Past and Mode of Revival, included in the festival's Focus Long Documentary selection.

The festival is scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram from September 25 to 30, 2026, placing three distinctly Assamese stories on a national platform dedicated to documentary filmmaking.
