Guwahati, July 22 -- Activist Sonam Wangchuk on Wednesday said he is prepared to end his hunger strike if the Centre guarantees that students participating in protests over the NEET paper leak will not face any legal or retaliatory action.

In a letter addressed to Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, Wangchuk urged the government to provide a clear assurance that no punitive measures would be taken against the young protesters, who he said were peacefully demanding transparency and accountability in the education system.
