Aizawl, Sept. 30 -- Prominent activist Sonam Wangchuk met Mizo National Front (MNF) president and former Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga in New Delhi on Monday to discuss Mizoram's peace settlement and the experience of the Mizo peace process, according to an MNF release.

Wangchuk met Zoramthanga at Mizoram House, where the two held discussions for more than one-and-a-half hours on politics, contemporary issues and the reconciliation between Mizoram and the Government of India.

"I want to study the successful Memorandum of Settlement of Mizoram and understand more about the experiences of Zoramthanga, who played a key role in the Mizo Peace Accord," Wangchuk was quoted as saying in the release.
