Rahul Gandhi seeks Amit Shah's removal, assures accountability over police action against student protesters
Guwahati, July 29 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday stepped up his attack on the Centre over the police action during the July 20 student protest in Delhi, demanding the removal of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and promising accountability for those responsible.
Speaking to the media after Parliament proceedings, Gandhi alleged that he was not allowed to raise the issue in the Lok Sabha unless he apologised for his remarks against the Home Minister. He said he refused to withdraw his statement and maintained that the concerns of students must be discussed inside Parliament.
