NSG launches first Mahila Commando Conversion Course to train women in counter-terror operations
Guwahati, Aug. 25 -- The National Security Guard (NSG) has launched its first Mahila Commando Conversion Course (MCCC) at its training centre in Manesar, Haryana, for women personnel drawn from State Police Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
The 12-week programme aims to equip selected women personnel with specialised skills required for counter-terror operations, including physical conditioning, weapons handling, marksmanship, tactical intervention and hostage rescue.
According to the NSG, the course has been designed to develop women commandos with strong physical endurance, technical proficiency and operational capabilities suited to demanding security missions.
