Arunachal Pradesh is preparing to present one of its indigenous cultural narratives on the big screen with Nawmai: The Wancho Warrior, an upcoming traditional war drama directed by Jovi Wangjin Wangsa. The film is scheduled for theatrical release across Northeast India and selected cities on September 18, 2026, bringing the history, traditions, and social world of the Wancho community to the screen in a cinematic format.
