Dimapur, Aug. 10 -- The Nagaland Taxes Department on Monday said total tax collection in the state rose from Rs 1,427.03 crore in FY 2024-25 to Rs 1,597.51 crore in FY 2025-26, registering an increase of Rs 170.47 crore.

At a review of the department called by Governor Nand Kishore Yadav at Lok Bhaban in Kohima, it was stated that the increase in revenue was substantially higher than the previous year, when the growth was Rs 68.05 crore.

During the meeting, the department made a detailed presentation on its organisational structure, revenue performance, initiatives, achievements, challenges and future roadmap.
