Dimapur, July 10 -- Forty-three girl students among 56 meritorious students from indigenous Scheduled Tribes of Nagaland were felicitated by the state Education Department with the Chief Minister's Meritorious Students Fellowship (CMMSF) Award for their outstanding performance in the HSLC Examination 2026 at a programme held at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima on Thursday.

The initiative recognises meritorious students through certificates and provides them with financial assistance for five years.

Addressing the programme as the special guest, Adviser to the School Education Department Kekhrielhoulie Yhome said the 56 achievers had distinguished themselves through their hard work and perseverance.
