Dimapur, Oct. 28 -- The 173rd Battalion of the CRPF, in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India, organised the Dimapur Half Marathon 2026 under the SPANDAN initiative on the theme "Sports for Peace and Development across Nations" at the Agri Expo, 4th Mile, in Nagaland's Chumoukedima district, on Wednesday.

Altogether, 1,850 participants, comprising 1,235 males and 615 females, took part in the marathon, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for fitness and sporting activities among the people.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony as the chief guest, Chumoukedima DC Polan John lauded the enthusiasm and energy of the youth, describing them as the "true heartbeat of Nagaland."
