Dimapur, July 15 -- The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent IED blast near the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School in Chumoukedima district, describing the attack as a serious threat to the peace and stability achieved in the Naga homeland.

The explosion, which occurred on July 13, claimed the life of an Assam Rifles personnel and left four others injured.

In a statement, the NSF said the incident appeared to be an attempt to undermine the peaceful environment that Nagas have worked hard to preserve over the years. It stressed that the Naga people remain committed to a future based on peace, dialogue, mutual respect and a dignified political settlement.
