Dimapur, July 15 -- Kohima DC & district election officer (DEO) B Henok Buchem on Tuesday directed the supervisors undergoing training for the special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll to thoroughly understand the ECI guidelines and procedures to ensure a smooth and credible revision process.

Addressing the training programme at the DC's conference hall, Buchem stressed that the primary objective of the SIR exercise is to include all eligible voters and exclude all ineligible persons from the electoral roll.

He cautioned that the ECI closely monitors the exercise for any lapses, and officials must strictly adhere to the prescribed rules and procedures.
