Nagaland: JP Nadda inspects landslide-hit Mon district
Dimapur, Aug. 5 -- Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda, along with Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Ashok Singhal and Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP Phangnon Konyak, visited landslide-affected areas in Mon town on Wednesday to take stock of the situation.
During the visit, Nadda inspected the landslide-affected locations in Defence Colony and adjoining areas of Techa Ward.
Eight people reportedly died in the landslides in these areas.
Nadda also interacted with affected families at the Konyak Union office.
He expressed solidarity with the affected people, saying the incident was deeply disheartening and painful.
