Mizoram tightens ILP regulations, Cabinet approves fresh 2026 guidelines

Guwahati: On May 18, the Mizoram Cabinet approved new instructions for the Inner Line Pass (ILP) system, which aims to improve regulation and surveillance of non-residents' entry into the state. According to officials, the decision was made during a Council of Ministers meeting presided over by Lalduhoma.
Although the detailed provisions of the proposed Mizoram Inner Line Pass Guidelines, 2026 have not yet been officially announced, the revised framework is expected to simplify and strengthen the processes related to the issuance, monitoring, and enforcement of Inner Line Passes across the state.
