Mizoram CM calls for strict anti-corruption action, urges speedy disposal of pending cases
Aizawl, Sept. 4 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Thursday called for stronger and impartial action against corruption, urging inquiry officers to use their statutory powers firmly to detect and prosecute corrupt practices.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a training-cum-workshop on the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, organised by the Vigilance Department for officials of the Mizoram Lokayukta, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Mizoram Police.
Lalduhoma said the government was committed to building a transparent and clean administration and had taken steps to strengthen anti-corruption institutions, including the Lokayukta and ACB.
