Aizwal, Aug. 11 -- The Mizoram cabinet on Monday approved the Mizo devotional and patriotic song 'Ro Min Rel Sak Ang Che' as the state's official song, an official said.

The Council of Ministers, chaired by Chief Minister Lalduhoma at the Chief Minister's Office in Aizawl, approved 24 proposals from various departments during the meeting.

An official resolution is likely to be introduced during the upcoming monsoon session of the Mizoram Assembly, beginning August 25, to formally adopt the song as the state song.
