Aizawl, Sept. 30 -- Mizoram Transport Minister Vanlalhlana on Tuesday flagged off two 21-seater buses, marking the launch of an inter-state bus service connecting Sairang near Aizawl with Churachandpur in Manipur. Regular operations are scheduled to begin from October 1.

The private service, operated by VK Tawna Travels, is expected to provide an additional travel option for people commuting between Mizoram and Manipur, particularly amid the transportation difficulties caused by the ongoing crisis in Manipur.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Vanlalhlana emphasised the importance of connectivity in strengthening ties among Zo communities living across different hill regions. He described Mizoram as a "central home" for its kindred comm...
