Guwahati, May 13 -- President Droupadi Murmu honored Lalenthangi Hnamte, also known as Maeni, with the National Florence Nightingale Nurses Award on International Nurses Day in New Delhi. Hnamte, who works at a Health and Wellness Centre in Mizoram's Lunglei district, was recognized for her contributions to grassroots healthcare and frontline health workers.
The National Florence Nightingale Nurses Award is one of the country's highest awards for nursing practitioners, and it includes a medal, a certificate of recognition, and a monetary prize of Rs 1 lakh.
