Guwahati, Oct. 3 -- The proposed Mizoram State University (MZSU) has received 12 bighas of land from a family in Lunglei, with Chief Minister Lalduhoma accepting the donation documents on Friday, an official statement said.

The documents were presented by P Lalnuntluanga of Serkawn at the Lunglei High Powered Committee (HPC) Conference Hall. Lalduhoma, who heads the HPC, received them during the programme.

Lalduhoma said the Centre has given the state government a 15-year period to establish the university. He welcomed the decision to locate the institution in Lunglei.
