Mizoram: Assam Rifles, DRI seize methamphetamine worth Rs 45 crore from ambulance
Aizwal, Aug. 8 -- Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have seized 15 kg of methamphetamine tablets valued at around Rs 45 crore from an ambulance in Mizoram's Aizawl district, officials said on Friday.
The seizure was made on Thursday during a joint operation near Sakei Bangla Restaurant at Seling based on intelligence developed by the Assam Rifles and DRI, Aizawl.
Acting on the information, the joint team intercepted a Suzuki Eeco ambulance and recovered the consignment of methamphetamine tablets from the vehicle.
