Guwahati: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday laid the foundation stones for three major road infrastructure projects at Latyrke Playground in East Jaintia Hills district, with a total investment of around Rs 412 crore.

The projects include the upgradation of the Dkhiah-Sutnga-Saipung-Pala stretch up to Semmasi Road, estimated at around Rs 355 crore.

Other works involve strengthening the Dkhiah-Sutnga-Saipung-Moulsei-Haflong Road with an allocation of Rs 10.3 crore, and the improvement of the Sutnga-Khaddum Road along with better access to the Chympe Waterfalls at a cost of Rs 46.75 crore.
