Guwahati, May 13 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced on May 12 that the state government is planning a long-term development drive for Tura, with investments of about Rs 2,000 crore intended at changing the town's urban landscape.
Following a review meeting, the chief minister stated that discussions focused on the status of ongoing development activities as well as forthcoming strategic projects for the town.
"A review was conducted to assess the progress of ongoing development projects and deliberate on strategic upcoming initiatives for Tura," Sangma wrote in a social media post.
