Guwahati, April 19 -- Several roads across Meghalaya have been assigned new names following a government notification issued by the General Administration Department (B), and the changes take effect immediately.

Among the updates, the road formerly known as "Blessed Mother Teresa Road" has been redesignated as "Saint Teresa Road". Another correction has been made to "Rev Nichol's Roy Road", which now officially appears as "Rev. J.J.M Nichols Roy Road". A PWD-maintained stretch connecting Thorika Rabha and Nibari has also been renamed "Utpal Rabha Road".

In further revisions, "Pasyih Garampani Road (P.G Road)" has been renamed "Phramer-Shangpung-Saphai Road". Likewise, the route passing through Wahthapbru locality, extending towards Jaia...
