Manipur: NIA begins forensic probe as six abducted Naga bodies reach JNIMS mortuary

Guwahati: The bodies of six Naga civilians who were abducted last month and later recovered in Manipur were transported to the mortuary of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal during the early hours of Thursday, as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) intensified its probe into the case.
According to officials, the remains reached the medical institute at approximately 2:30 am after being retrieved during a security-led search operation. Soon after their arrival, NIA personnel, supported by forensic specialists and other investigating authorities, began detailed examinations as part of efforts to establish the sequence of events leading to the deaths.
