Imphal, Aug. 23 -- The Twilang (Twilang Lhang) Area Kuki Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Coordinating Media Cell has appealed to Naga civil society groups and communities residing along Manipur's Imphal-Tamenglong Road (IT Road) to ensure safe and unhindered movement of civilians, emergency medical teams, ambulances and trucks carrying essential commodities.

The media cell convened an emergency session on August 22 and called for immediate measures to ensure the safe movement of essential services.

The statement expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in the region. The committee said civilian movement had been disrupted, access to basic rights affected and residents faced difficulties in reaching medical facilities.
