Guwahati, April 14 -- A government official confirmed on Tuesday, April 14, that the fuel shortage in Churachandpur district is expected to ease by this evening following the restoration of supply lines.

The official said protests along the Bishnupur route had earlier brought fuel supply operations to a standstill, as tankers were unable to pass through the area. To address this, authorities diverted the supply through Jiribam, and fuel transportation has since resumed.

The disruption comes in the wake of ongoing protests across several valley areas following the April 7 blast in Tronglaobi, where two children were killed and their mother was injured.
