GUWAHATI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has initiated a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Manipur, establishing July 1 as the qualifying date for voter eligibility. This initiative is designed to guarantee that all eligible citizens are represented in the voter list while also removing any ineligible or duplicate entries.

Arun Kumar Sinha, the Chief Electoral Officer of Manipur, has declared that the preparations for this extensive revision process have been finalized.
