Guwahati, Aug. 27 -- Tension resurfaced in Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Thursday, August 27, after armed miscreants allegedly ambushed Naga civilians along the IT Road, killing at least four people, injuring one and leaving another missing, sources said.

The incident reportedly took place around 8:30 am between Makui Ashang and Thanamba Naga, along a route frequently used by Naga communities living in the area. According to sources, the victims came under attack when armed assailants allegedly carried out the ambush.

At least four members of the Naga community were reportedly killed in the attack, while another person sustained injuries. One more individual was reported missing following the incident.
