Guwahati, Aug. 6 -- Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam, conducted a flood relief distribution drive from July 31 to August 3 across flood- and landslide-affected areas of Assam and Nagaland.

The initiative was carried out through the university's National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell with the participation of faculty members, staff, NSS volunteers and members of the Shrimanta Shankar Academy Society.

As part of the relief drive, the university team distributed food items, clothing, hygiene materials and other essential supplies among affected families in Hahchara Chetia Gaon, Lebang Chaul Kora Gaon, Borhoting Chapori, Betbari Nimaijan, Changmai and Nimaijan Gorkosh areas of Sivasagar district.
