Guwahati, Aug. 13 -- Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Gaurav Gogoi expressed concern over the escalating tension along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, saying the situation had become more tense instead of easing two days after the latest incident.

"Even after two days, instead of the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border dispute subsiding, the situation has become more tense, which is a matter of concern for both states," Gogoi stated in a social media post on Thursday.

Tension along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border intensified on Thursday following fresh stone-pelting near Likabali, while an economic blockade in several border areas kept the situation volatile.
