Guwahati, April 11 -- Gauhati University on Saturday clarified that no admission notification for the upcoming academic session 2026-27 has been released yet, dismissing reports circulating on external platforms.

The clarification follows the spread of misleading information by an education portal operating under the name Education Dunia.

According to an official spokesperson, the information being circulated is "unauthorised" and does not represent the university's official position.

The university noted that the misinformation had caused confusion among prospective students and guardians. It urged all undergraduate aspirants to rely only on official communication channels for accurate updates.
