Former IB chief Tapan Deka appointed to Centre's high-level task force on examination reforms
Guwahati, July 27 -- Former Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Deka has been appointed as a member of the Centre's high-level task force tasked with recommending comprehensive reforms to India's examination system. Infosys co-founder and technology expert Nandan Nilekani will chair the multidisciplinary panel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the constitution of the task force on Sunday, a day after the Centre accepted key demands raised by the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) during nationwide protests over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET UG 2026 paper leak.
