North Lakhimpur, Aug. 10 -- At least eight people were injured after a group of people allegedly opened fire from the Arunachal Pradesh side during a land dispute at Badati village in Ming Mang along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border near Gogamukh on Monday.

The incident occurred at Badati, around 21 km from Gogamukh Chariali, when a group of people from Arunachal Pradesh reportedly entered into an altercation with local villagers over a land dispute.

The situation allegedly escalated when the group opened fire at the villagers, injuring eight people.

The injured were identified as Durgeswar Patir, Rohit Doley, Nagraj Doley, Bigeswar Patir, Utpal Doley, Pema Pegu and Sanjay Tayung. The identity of the eighth injured person was not imm...
